Choosing the Right Support
Every school is different, and so is every cohort. Whether you need a flexible, tailored programme built around your pupils’ specific gaps, or a ready-made scheme addressing common misconceptions, our primary offer flexes to fit.
The options below are designed for pupils in mainstream settings and can run as 1:2, 1:3 or 1:4 sessions. If you’re looking for 1:1 support for pupils facing additional barriers — including those in alternative provision, looked-after children, or pupils with significant absence — take a look at our Enhanced Support programmes instead.
Tailored Sessions
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, our tutors shape each session around what your pupils actually need. We start with a subject- and year-specific baseline assessment, which flags learning gaps early and gives tutors a clear starting point for planning.
Every tutor has access to a curriculum-aligned resource bank through our online platform, much of it built in-house by former teachers and school leaders. We also provide continuous oversight, checking in on tutors regularly to make sure delivery stays consistently high quality.
Year 5/6 Foundations Programme
Built by our in-house subject specialists — all experienced primary practitioners — this scheme is designed to get Year 5 pupils (and higher-attaining Year 4s) ready for the step up to Year 6.
It’s a fully resourced set of 30 lessons split evenly between English and maths, each one building on the last to reinforce key skills.

English (SPaG) — sentence structure, clauses and adverbials
English (Reading) — vocabulary, retrieval and inference
Phonics Support
Built for Reception and Key Stage 1, our phonics programme gives early readers the extra practice they need to succeed in the statutory Phonics Screening Check.All tutors receive foundational phonics training as standard, with the option for further training in whichever DfE-approved phonics scheme your school follows.
Year 6 SATs Preparation
Our focused SATs support helps Year 6 pupils consolidate what they know and apply it confidently to exam-style questions in reading and maths. Schools can choose a standard 15-week programme or a more intensive 6–8 week block with multiple sessions each week.
